It is increasingly being recognised that employers are looking for more than just academically qualified undergraduates. The centrally run Skills Portal identifies transferable skills (such as organisational skills, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy) that you should be developing naturally on your course. The site also explores how you can make the most of your time at Cambridge and how you can prepare for your future.

If you are a Medical Student, you have automatic access to the Clinical course Moodle equivalent, MedEd, throughout your preclinical studies, with a vast amount of teaching material.

Extra-curricular activities can also help you develop soft skills and experience. From running a society to volunteering, there are plenty of opportunities in Cambridge.

Finally, the Careers Service offers a range of resources to explore your future, guide you through the preparation of your CV and cover letter, and secure a job after your studies.
