Governance

The Faculty of Biology is the larger of the two Faculties in the School of the Biological Sciences. The members of the Faculty are listed in the Cambridge University Reporter annually, together with those of other Faculties in the University. Officers of the Faculty are also listed in the Reporter.

The Faculty Board is responsible for the undergraduate teaching of biological sciences in the Natural Sciences Tripos through the Biological Sciences Committee, and for the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos through the MVST Part I Committee. The Medical Education Committee (MEC) oversees medical education in Cambridge.

The Degree Committee for the Faculty of Biology is responsible for recommending applicants for admission as graduate students to the Board of Graduate Studies, and for recommending the award of post-graduate degrees and diplomas.

Information aimed at graduate students and those staff concerned with their training is available from our Graduate School.

A wider range of information that may be relevant to any students and staff in the School is also listed on the School web site.
