Student Representatives

Elections for both Faculty and Council student representative positions will occur on Tuesday 25 November 2014

The votes will be cast electronically and the voting system will be open from 00:01 Tuesday 25th November until 23:59 Wednesday 26th November.

Faculty of Biology Positions:

Category I - Graduate students in the Faculty of Biology. Duties involve attending meetings of the Faculty Board of Biology and meetings of the Graduate Student and Postdoc Forum and representing student views and interests on these committees.

All those eligible to stand and to vote are listed in the Category I Electoral Roll. When the voting opens, a link to the CUSU portal will be available on this page. Eligible voters will also be emailed the necessary details.

 

Category II - MVST students (including first and second year CGC students). Duties involve attending termly meetings of the Faculty Board of Biology, the MVST Part I Committee and the Medical Education Committee and representing student views and interests on these committees.

Category III - Other undergraduates assigned to the Faculty of Biology. Duties involve attending termly meetings of the Faculty Board of Biology, the Biological Sciences Committee and twice termly meetings of the NST Committee of Management and representing student views and interests on these committees.

Council of the School of the Biological Sciences (CSBS) positions:

The two Student Representative positions within the Council of the School of the Biological Sciences have been filled.  Both representatives were elected unopposed:

Graduate students in the School of the Biological Sciences - Miss Samyyia Ashraf

Undergraduate students in the School of the Biological Sciences - Mr Matthew Johnston

Both CSBS Reps are invited to attend the twice-termly meetings of the Council of the School of the Biological Sciences to communicate the student perspective.
